Rhythm School
30th May sees the launch
of Soundscape's latest project at the YMCA in Swansea.
Aimed at 11-17 year olds, we'll be running monthly Saturday drumming
workshops with a difference. Participants will be able to learn Brazilian
samba drumming and West African djembe drumming AND work on composing
and arranging original material. The ultimate aim is to form a youth
carnival band to play at events like Swansea MAS carnival and other
summer events.
No experience is necessary, just a willingness to take part. We provide
all of the instruments and experienced teachers.

Instrument Bank
Soundscape is still appealling
for unwanted instruments as donations to our instrument library scheme.
The latest batch of instruments- a fine selection of brass kindly donated
by Ystradgymlais Public Band- has now found its way to young orchestra
members in Neath.
So if there's an old drumkit gathering dust in your attic, a guitar
you haven't touched for years or anyhting else that isn't producing
the beautiful music it should be then get in touch!
Carnival Dance Workshops
Soundscape is pleased to be offering these new workshops courtesy
of one our recent co-conspirators Rosalba, choreographer for Swansea's
Samba Tawe... Fun filled, energising and visually stunning, would your
group forgive you if you don't get in contact!?
