Helen has been leading workshops for over 25 years. Her songs are influenced
by many vocal traditions including those of Georgia, Tanzania and South
America. As well as setting her own lyrics, she composes songs with
lyrics by poets from across the world. She founded Sing For Water and

Soundscape presents Rhythm
School
Soundscape is pleased to
announce the launch of Rhythm School, a monthly drum workshop aimed
specifically at young people in the county of Swansea.
Supported with funding from the Communities First Music Trust Fund,
the project will offer samba and West African drumming workshops from
early summer onwards.
In addition, the project will be running four week outreach projects
in many of Swansea's objective 1 areas.
Dates are yet to be confirmed, but if you or anyone you know aged between
11 and 17 would like to have a go, contact

Call to community artists
Soundscape is calling for
community musicians and associated community artists in South Wales
who would like to get involved with us. We're looking for people who
have experience in using the following in community environments: music,
music technology, recording, dance, carnival work, video and promotion.
