2. Constitution
Agreed to insert the words "minimum of" before 4 members, in Clause 2.

3. Treasurer's Report
A full report would be available soon. Currently holding £831.39, but £200 still owed in rent and Boyd's pay for March, plus there was some petty cash. The Balance was between £650-700.
Agreed:
" to leave £300 in Reserves.
" that a small working group consisting of Barry, Lynne and Angie look into what we normally spend and sort out a budget projection and also set up a new bank account.
" To discuss further the idea of paying Boyd for his time at gigs, after Lynne, Alex and Angie had time to consider an appropriate figure with Boyd.

4. Kiva Project
Angie explained the principles behind the Kiva Project which helped individuals/groups to set up small businesses in the third world countries, on a loan basis. Once money was paid back it could then be used again to support others. Agreed in principle to support it, and in particular to support projects in West Africa. Angie to look into it further and bring suggestions back to the group. Agreed to look further at setting up a separate bank account for this - a Trust Fund.

5. Workshops
The discussion concentrated on how best to organise the Tuesday sessions, and it was generally agreed that this should be left to the judgement of Boyd as 'Artistic Director', but that suggestions/ideas from all members were always welcome.

6. Shiko's Progress
Agreed to defer discussion on this.

7. Children at Shiko Sessions
The Policy of not allowing children at Shiko sessions was reaffirmed. Exceptional circumstances would be treated on merit.

8. Mumbles Raft Race 2008
The Group discussed the idea of entering the race, but would need to pay £200 in sponsorship - all money would go to the Lifeboat. There was a suggestion that Shiko could drum at the event. No conclusion was reached.

9. Thanks
Thanks (and a drum roll) were extended to Lynne for all her work on the finances, and to Boyd for all his effort in keeping the rhythms flowing!
